Review of PHC Compilation in The Pandemonium Project

Punk History Canada presents Only in Canada Eh (77-81) Volume 1

I reviewed this compilation a while back but I still find a lot of people don’t know about it. "Only in Canada Eh" is the first release by Punk History Canada. I truly believe that this compilation should get as much exposure as possible. Why? Because you can’t find some of these band’s albums anywhere. If you do find them.. You will be paying a couple hundred bucks. SOMEONE, please, re-release some of these band’s CDs. Joey! Do you hear me? If your lucky you may be able to catch a gig, a few of these bands are still recording and touring. When I speak to a lot of people outside of Canada about the 70s+ punk scene they are amazed that anything 'punk rock' (with the exception of DOA) came out of this country. I feel like mailing all of them a copy.

Not only does this CD have tracks from some of the most influential punk bands in Canadian, but it also features previously unreleased tracks, and booklet with bios written by the bands themselves. Always fun.

There are a lot of great songs on the CD, you can’t go wrong with a coast to coast compilation.

Read more about it HERE!
